The term „Kabelsalat“ describes the unintentional formation of knots or tangles in cables that are difficult to untangle. The knots usually form at the ends of the cables, and as the cable tangle continues to form, they slip towards the middle of the cable.

On the first "Aus der Kiste" release, the techno duo Salon Sombre takes you on their journey of creating and untangling their cable mess.

With the first track Salon Sombre show their melodic and deep side of techno.

The second track is rougher and more minimalist, the driving bass and a nifty synthline lead to more confusion.

On the third track Salon Sombre present their love for faster and bouncy techno. Driving synthlines and drum rhythms lead to some order.

In his interpretation of the opening track, sanmon combines the melodic synths from the original with a gripping acidline and a deep-hypnotic ocean of drums and sounds together. This creates a new extreme confusion of the cables, which are left in space.
